      Biography

Mark Szepes is an experienced litigation lawyer practising in Wills and Estates Litigation, Personal Injury, and Insurance Defence. Mark’s primary focus is Wills and Estates Litigation, where he advises executors, administrators, trustees, heirs and beneficiaries, and family members who were wrongly excluded from an estate.

A skilled trial lawyer, Mark has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia. He strives to obtain successful resolutions for his clients through the courts or by alternative dispute resolution where appropriate. Mark is committed to providing his clients with practical solutions and efficient service. Clients depend on him for advice that is right for their unique circumstances.

Before joining North Shore Law, Mark worked for downtown litigation firms, helping clients to resolve disputes and protect their interests. He completed his honours law degree at the University of Manchester (UK) and then obtained his Canadian law credentials in Ontario before relocating to beautiful British Columbia.

Mark is actively involved with local and national non-profits. He volunteers with various organizations, including the CHILL Foundation, which works with at-risk youth to overcome challenges through board sports. Mark is also currently the serving vice-chairperson of Canada Snowboard, the non-profit national sport organization responsible for all high-performance snowboarding in the country.

Outside of the office, Mark can be found exploring the North Shore Mountains and Sea to Sky Corridor with his friends, and his rescue dog, Trouble. He is an avid snowboarder, hiker, and trail runner.
