Biography
A compassionate advocate with a strong foundation in family law and estate litigation, Erika is committed to helping clients move forward with practical advice and steadfast support.
Compassionate Advocacy in Family and Estate Litigation
Erika is an Associate Lawyer at North Shore Law LLP and a member of the firm’s Family Law Group. She maintains a practice in family law and estate litigation, bringing a compassionate and dedicated approach to helping clients navigate emotionally complex legal matters.
Building Strong Advocacy Skills
Erika first developed her passion for family law during law school while competing in a family law simulated court proceeding competition (moot), where she and her team earned first place in 2024. The experience strengthened her oral advocacy skills and confirmed her interest in assisting individuals and families through difficult periods of transition. She later volunteered as a moot mentor, coaching first-year law students and helping them develop their advocacy and legal analysis skills.
Experience Before the Courts of British Columbia
Prior to joining the firm as an Associate, Erika completed her articles at North Shore Law, where she gained experience supporting clients in family and estate litigation matters. During her articling term, she appeared before both the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia, working closely with lawyers across the firm to deliver strategic, client-focused legal services.
Client-Focused Legal Support
Erika approaches her practice with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to clear communication. She understands that family and estate disputes can be deeply personal and challenging, and she strives to provide clients with practical legal guidance and steadfast support throughout the legal process.
Erika earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2025. Prior to attending law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Criminology and minoring in History.
