      Biography

      Edward F. Macaulay is a lawyer practicing in the area of Estate Law.

      Edward’s practice involves Wills, Estates, and Trust Litigation, including construction and interpretation of wills, Wills Act, Estate Administration Act, the Trustee Act, Wills Estate and Succession Act, and testamentary capacity.He is also involved in Adult Guardianship matters including Committee applications under the Patients Property Act in both contested and un-contested matters. Edward has appeared before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia.

      Edward is a lawyer with extensive experience running his own successful law firm practice, Edward F. Macaulay Law Corporation in Vancouver for more than two decades. He is a dedicated advocate for his clients and is aware that estate disputes and personal care issues can be delicate and an emotional experience for his client. He believes that it is important to help his client take a step back, rationally assess the situation, and ultimately represent his client’s interests in executing the legal path they choose to follow.  

      Deeply involved in his community, Edward currently sits on the Board of Directors of Seniors First B.C.  He was also the past President Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS). Edward has earned law degrees from the University of Victoria and Queen’s University School of Law in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Prior to that he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Victoria.
