Biography
Nathan Rayan advises clients in the areas of employment law, business law, and civil litigation. As a litigator, Nathan helps his clients navigate the dispute-resolution process and achieve successful outcomes.
By providing practical, strategic advice, he empowers his clients to resolve their disputes efficiently without compromising their rights or leaving anything on the table.
Nathan represents employees and employers in a wide range of workplace disputes, including wrongful termination and severance, resignation, constructive dismissal, illness and disability, regulated professions, human rights, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and post-employment duties.
Nathan’s business clients range from small, local businesses, to large corporations. He represents clients from a wide variety of industries in court, in front of administrative tribunals, at informal hearings such as mediation and arbitration, and in negotiations. His practice includes contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, real estate litigation, construction litigation including liens, and enforcement of security. Nathan provides advice that is both legally sound and aligned with the client’s business goals.
Nathan was born on the North Shore and grew up in Lynn Valley. After practising in Toronto for a few years, Nathan returned to the North Shore’s mountains and lifestyle in 2015. Before joining North Shore Law in 2018, he practised civil litigation at a boutique firm in downtown Vancouver.
In the community, Nathan is passionate about housing and transportation policy. Outside of the office, Nathan enjoys travel, spending time outdoors, sports, cooking, and brewing beer.
