Lara was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2015 and joined North Shore Law LLP as an associate in July 2016. She maintains a family law and civil litigation practice.
Outside the office Lara enjoys skiing and travelling.
Lara graduated from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2014. During law school, Lara worked at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic and coordinated the Wills Project, a pro bono initiative that provides wills for low income seniors in the Halifax area. In 2014, Lara was awarded the John L. Harris Q.C. Memorial Scholarship.
Prior to law school Lara obtained a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Calgary and worked as a research assistant in the field of injury epidemiology at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. In 2012 Lara published a paper in the Journal of Pediatrics and Child Health entitled, “The effect of surface and season playground injury rates”.
Lara is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
