Jonathan Vroom

Biography

A business lawyer at North Shore Law, Jonathan Vroom assists owners, entrepreneurs, and corporate clients with their business-related legal needs.

Jonathan has significant experience negotiating and carrying out acquisitions and sales of small to mid-sized businesses. These transactions can range in size from large manufacturing businesses or retail chains to small coffee shops or owner-operated stores. Regardless of the size of the deal, Jonathan works to provide efficient, practical, and comprehensive advice to his clients.

Jonathan enjoys helping entrepreneurs and business owners navigate the legal demands that can arise while operating a business. This can include incorporating new companies, carrying out corporate reorganizations, and drafting and reviewing contracts. Jonathan also regularly assists clients with commercial and residential real estate transactions. By providing his clients with sound, tailored advice, he helps clients achieve their business goals.

Jonathan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria in 2004 and received his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2009. Since being called to the B.C. Bar in 2010, Jonathan has been a guest speaker at the Professional Legal Training Course on Corporate Practice and has presented at numerous small business and estate planning seminars on the North Shore and in Vancouver.

Jonathan is an active search and rescue volunteer with Lions Bay Search and Rescue Society. In addition to taking part in search and rescue operations, Jonathan sits on the Society’s board and acts as the team’s treasurer.

Outside of the office, Jonathan can be found exploring the North Shore mountains with his wife, his children, and his dog, Mishka. He is an avid skier, hiker and trail runner as well as a clumsy but enthusiastic mountain biker.
