Janneke Lewis

Janneke Lewis is a partner, and has been with the firm since January 2001. She obtained her law degree from the University of Natal, South Africa in 1981. She was called to the Bar as a barrister in 1986 and thereafter practised as a prosecutor.

After immigrating to Canada, Janneke re-qualified as a lawyer in Canada in 1995 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1996.

Janneke has presented a paper, Trafficking Child Prosecution , at a workshop at the 11 th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Bangkok in April 2005.   She is an elected member of the Provincial Council of the Canadian Bar Association representing North Vancouver.   She is a past Governor of Western Canadian Region for Soroptimist International and a member of Amnesty International. She practises primarily in the areas of criminal law and family law and is a mediator.
