Patricia Bond

Patricia Bond

Patricia Bond has been practicing primarily family law for more than 20 years. She is a seasoned litigator, a collaborative lawyer, mediator and parenting coordinator. The latter role utilizes mediation as well as arbitration to resolve disputes in high conflict family cases.

Ms. Bond is a Bencher of the Law Society and member of the Ethics and Legal Services Committees, as well as the Family Law Task Force. She is on the executive committee of the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C. (TLABC) and is the former chair of the Family Law List Serve. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the BC Parenting Coordinators Society. In addition, Ms. Bond has been a contributing author to various Family Law Manuals and sits on the editorial board of the British Columbia Family Practice Manual, a publication of the Continuing Legal Education Society (CLE). She is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Vancouver and North Vancouver Collaborative Groups. She has been a speaker at courses presented by CLE, TLABC, B.C. Parenting Coordination, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and guest instructor for the Professional Legal Training Course, People's Law School, the Canadian Labour Congress and the University of British Columbia Law School. She has chaired Family Law Seminars for CLE and TLABC.

Ms. Bond has published in journals, including the Advocate, the Verdict, Advisor’s Edge, and Materials prepared by the CLE and TLABC. Patricia has devoted considerable volunteer time to supporting the provision of Legal Aid in British Columbia through various committees, projects and clinics. She has been recognized for her dedication to providing outstanding quality of service to the Legal Services Society and its clients. In addition, she has been a member of non-profit society boards in the arts and mental health fields.
