Annamarie Kersop obtained her law degree from the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, South Africa and was called to the Bar in 1997.
After immigrating to Canada in 1998, Annamarie worked as a legal assistant in a busy immigration and insurance litigation practice at a downtown law firm. From 1999 to 2004 she managed the legal services department in the same firm. Annamarie re-qualified as a lawyer in Canada and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005.
Prior to joining North Shore Law, Annamarie has worked on behalf of private insurers as well as the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. She has also done work on behalf of injured parties in personal injury claims.
Annamarie joined the firm as an associate in 2009. The focus of her practice is insurance defence litigation and personal injury claims.
Annamarie likes to sing as well as golf in her spare time. She is married and has two children, a dog and a cat. Annamarie is fluent in Afrikaans.
